Although always challenging, Mart always enjoys participating in religious facilities because of the close relationships forged during the process. Funds are always limited, forcing diligent budget controls and often demanding creating solutions.
Christ’s Foundry United Methodist Mission
This 12,500 square foot ground up facility at Park lane and Webb Chapel Road in Dallas, Texas was completed for $1,720,000. It includes a sanctuary for 350 patrons, classrooms and a kitchen. A 55 foot tall bell tower is the focal point of the one acre site.
Christ Church Conversion
Begun in April of 2013 and completed in time for Thanksgiving services, Mart converted a 46,000 sqft automobile dealership into a new facility for Irving Christ Church. The mechanics bay was converted into the Sanctuary, and an elevator and several restrooms had to be added to the two-story building.
Mart served as the Construction Manager on the $2,700,000 renovation. Pre-construction services included cost estimates at the Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Document phases, value engineering and assistance with cost effective material selections.
Because Goodson Acura was still occupying the facility and could not move until their new facility was completed, the construction start was delayed several months. Mid-way through construction, 4,000 square feet of space not scheduled to be renovated was added to the project by the church. Still, Mart finished on time.
Plymouth Park Baptist Church Repairs
Over the course of eight years, Mart completed four projects totaling over two million dollars. Work during the complete remodel of the sanctuary included repair of the structural glue-lam wood beams supporting the exterior walls and roof and hanging new sound speaker arrays. All of the structural design for this work was provided by Mart.
Mart constructed an addition to the Educational Buildingas well as completely remodeling it and the Children’s Building. For the Bus Storage Building, Mart provided design and construction services.
